With it being autumn and the weather now beginning to get colder this is a lovely little present to say ‘I love you, keep warm’ It’s always a rather tasty soup too. I have blogged before with this Lentil Soup Recipe. At the end of this blog post there’s a printable label you can use if you choose to make these little jars as a gift.
But in these jars there is:
- 150g red lentils
- 70 grams brown rice
- 2 pinchs salt
- 2 pinches pepper
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic
- 2 chicken stock cubes
Layer starting with the lentils and working down 🙂
I love how different this idea is, people usually expect cakes or biscuits in a jar so it’s always nice to have a little
I have to say I am quite a fan of christmas, infact I would even go as far as saying I am really excited about it!! I also love handmade crafts and gifts so when I received the Parragon books Love food Make it in jar book and it’s lovely 🙂 You can purchase the book if you click here.
If you click the below image it will take you to a PDF where you can print off 4 of these little tags 🙂
What do you think? Is this something you would gift? Are you going to try and give more home made and hand made gifts this christmas? I would love to know.
We were sent the Make it in a jar book for the purpose of this post. No payment was received.
