The first week of 2014 although I know it wasn’t a full 7 day week as 2014 is coming to an end.. so I thought I would share with you some of the things I have been up to to take up my challenge of just being a new better and happier me. If you want to join me on my mission I have a group : A New better you and I am also on Facebook and Twitter.
So I am going to start with waking up in the morning and just thinking to myself, ‘ today is going to be a good day’ and then saying good morning to the male and out two beautiful children. I am really starting to look at things differently, but along with me thinking differently I am also trying to spread my positivity by trying to help my friends.
Seriously girls you do not need to be negative about yourselves, you are amazing 🙂 If you had 10 things to do on your to-do list and you only did 2 but you took some time out for yourself.. that is OK. You are doing brilliantly.
With my new thinking I have started to realise how god damn hard most of us are to ourselves and in turn we stop the people around us from seeing the good things we do but lingering onto the sadness. That is not on. This year I will not be putting so much pressure on myself. I will be spending more time being silly with my boys and being gossipy and girlie with my friends… WHY? Because although they say the kitchen is a heart of a home… in my home I am the heart and my family needs a happy smiling positive force.
So how have I been embracing it!? Once again I am doing my Fly lady.. and in my kitchen now I am at the stage of having a clean sink before I go to bed at night. OH YEH!! I have printed and added her detailed cleaning for each zone. You can have a nosey or even print yourself I will link it below. I have done some huge decluttering in my kitchen too giving me much more free drawer space and I have cleaned out 2 of my big cupboards and bleached them. They look awesome and I will slowly do the rest of them but I am not rushing it because I am working on my small improvements, although seriously it looks tonnes better already. Fly ladies detailed cleaning list.
I have started entering competitions again and have won TWO prizes already, a £10 voucher for Amazon and a personalised gillette razor. I WILL SAVE THIS YEAR and am also participating on a few survey/point gaining sites that you can earn money on.. I am actually loving it as I can have them on in the background sometimes and I feel like every little helps for my family especially as we are on a big saving mission to try and eventually be able to afford to look for a mortgage to buy a family home. If you would like to have a look at the sites I will link them, please note they will be referral codes so I would get some extra points so thank you muchly in advance if you join and if you would like some help once you have joined you could also tweet me with you question to @hchclem.
Instagc – This one is the one I have on the most in the background, It has a radio that I can just leave on and every 10-15 minutes it shoots a code at you to fill in so you can get your point. It’s actually not to bad I have quite a few songs I have been singing along to. (nearly all of them) and at the end you earn your free gift cards in £ and $ which can be used in ASOS, ASDA, AMAZON ect ect 🙂
Viewsbank – This one is surveys and it’s quite well paid but you must be allegable for the surveys. I think if you really put a little bit of effort in with this you could make quite a bit of money 🙂 I am definitely planning on using it more.
Swagbucks – this is my least favourite of the sites I’m not sure why because my friends have been doing amazingly well on it but I feel that will spur me on to do it more. This is surveys and watching video’s ect.
My coupon bargains this week:
Me and my mum printed a voucher for a free 1.5kg bag of James Wellbeloved cat food voucher up and picked them up from the nearest range. This meant that I had £21.98 worth of posh cat food for free. And Lola cat is extremely happy with it!!
I have been making more of an effort to spend more time with the males in my life this week too. So Saturday me and the male had the afternoon with eachother as his brother watched our boys. He went to get a new tattoo which is absolutely lovely and then we nipped for a cheeky Mc Donald’s before returning home. One the photo below it was newly done.. still bloody and quite red and swollen. I think it’s gorgeous, it’s on the middle/back of his upper arm near his elbow and armpit 😀
During the week I have also done some baking with the boys, but making sure it was seperately so they had some mummy-baby time. With Baby J we made some Peppa pig cupcakes and with Ky we made the Peppa Pig tray cake. I was impressed with both the kits and I think I picked them up for a steal in asda. £1.85 for the two. The boys baked on seperate days and as they were cooling I would then cooked dinner. They were told they were not allowed cake until they had eaten and then they could play ‘shopkeeper’. It really was cool, they would enjoy there dinner and then get all of there cake and ensure every family member had one. ‘Thank you shop keeper’ As well as making their food more entertaining because obv I am the coolest mummy ever 😀
How has your first week of 2014 been?
