Yes! I have finally booked my Holiday for the Butlins Ambassadors scheme. We will be heading to Skegness for the Halloween Weekend and I am so stupidly excited. Even more so with the fact Andy, the boys and I will be dressing up and getting into the spirit of spooky fun!
What should we expect!?
Well there is SO much going on I definitely will have to time plan to ensure we get as much in as possible. Butlins are going all out this half term with their Halloween short breaks, putting on extra special themed activities and entertainment. Their ‘all part of the price’ promise and huge array of indoor things to do mean that you’re guaranteed a fantastic family break, whatever the weather.
Guests will enjoy the family Trick or Treat trail, solving mystery clues around the resort to collect special treats at the end. I think we are going to really enjoy this. We an also get up close and personal with some unusual and scary creepy-crawlies and animals in their special performances of Animal Adventures and Creepy Crawlers. There’s also the fancy dress Monster Ball where younger guests can sing and dance with their new friends.
Redcoat Gavin, from Skegness says “We know that Halloween is becoming more and more popular in the British calendar each year and that’s why we really try hard to make these breaks a magical experience. All the team, from the Redcoats to the maintenance staff, dress up and get into the spirit of it, which really rubs off on the guests, particularly the children.”
The October weather doesn’t have to stop play at Butlins as guests will be able to take part in Halloween Arts and Crafts sessions or Pumpkin Carving sessions (for a small fee). There’s also the Splash Waterworld complex which is always an inviting 35°C, whatever the weather is like outside! Plus, there’s the traditional fairground and professional sports coaching sessions available.
Plus, there is live entertainment throughout the day and into the evening too, with Halloween themed shows like the ‘Billy’s Frightfully Fun Show’ and ‘The Skyline Gang: Misty’s Monster Party’.
Families will love the range of live evening entertainment, ranging from Dick and Dom live, Mister Maker live, Scooby Doo live, family pantomimes and more.
Children’s favourites like Angelina Ballerina, Mike The Knight, Fireman Sam, Bob The Builder and Barney will be making regular appearances in their live shows.
Visitors will be treated to an extra special Halloween fireworks display which the whole family will get to enjoy (Friday 31st – Monday 3rd breaks only)
I am hoping to video the whole experience and of course will be using #anewadventures so you can follow our travels on there! We know we are going to have such a memory making filled weekend and are just so excited.
A 3 night weekend breakstarts from only £75 per person, based on 4 sharing a silver apartment.
Book online at www.butlins.com/halloween or call 0845 070 4730. All breaks are priced per person and subject to availability.
