At the start of last year 2014 I set myself some goals – ‘It’s 2014 Babey‘ I started that post with my midnight kiss and so I felt it only appropriate to start this new years post the same. I have no make up on and my hair is a mess. At the beginning of last year I set myself a target to put make up on and do my hair everyday. I realise now that actually that isn’t very important, I didn’t need make up on every day to be happy, what I needed to be happy was to actually BE happy. 2014 was a very big year for me, I have learnt a lot about myself, learnt to be more understanding of others, learnt how to know when to let go and most of all making sure that I make more time with the people I love. Here is our kiss.
A few months later I updated this list ‘Moving Goal Posts – An Update 2014‘
One of the things I said I would do is to blog and vlog more, this I feel I have achieved and things can only get better. I love my blog and all of you wonderful, gorgeous people that read it. It is a privilege to have you to share my life with. You can see my video’s here: A New Addition Channel.
I am still working on the picking of my fingers but for now I have stopped biting my nails and I have very much fell more and more in love with Nail Varnish, I am no longer getting Acrylics and my natural nails have started to grow. Super Exciting!
During the year after doing a few therapy sessions I realised that depression had taken over. I started taking medication for my Anxiety and OCD and although I am still an over thinking and suffer with panic attacks I feel that is helping a lot. This is also meaning that I am much more positive and with not being so wary of being out of my house means that I am still taking on my goal of saying yes a lot more and going for things that I would have been too frightened of before. Hence I was excitedly picked as a Butlin’s Ambassador!
I still don’t see my friends as much as I should but I am really working on at least more communication, there’s nothing like a good gossip with your girl pals putting the world to rights. Going to bed early will always be a challenge for me as I struggle to sleep but I am going to bed much earlier even if it is to just lie in the calm listening to relaxing music.
My driving anxiety has taken a complete turn around, although I still fight it we have done many #ANewAdventures in 2014 and I am hoping for more in 2015 which reminds me, I need to book our second Butlin’s Holiday.
Organisation is still going well for me. I know have a diary, A family wall calender and a weekly to-do list as well as a daily to-do list. This has made such an epic difference to me. It means things aren’t s frantic, I am trying to prepare more the day before or if things need purchasing/baking/making I can do this in time. It also means that I am more aware of if there is something I need to arrange childcare for and I am even more in the know for birthday’s that will be coming up and bills that I should be expecting. Seriously people invest in some organisational stationary and use them daily, It has made a huge difference to mine and my families life.
So what did I achieve last year?
January was the start of my weekly posts and the beginning of what eventually turned into ‘ANBY’ – A New Better You. I started buying more to put away for birthdays so I was more prepared and also saving mone
In February I started realising I really wanted to get into Fashion and Beauty more, but I was scared and being put off by what other people though put me off, and then I realised how supportive you lovely lot are and by the end of the year this blog had had a massive revamp, Which including my tagline, Food, Fashion, Beauty and Adventures.
In March I flew in a Helicopter with The Children’s Air Ambulance, the most humbling and emotional day of work I have ever done. It was amazing to fly above my home town but sitting in the place where a mother with a poorly child would sit was heartbreaking. You can read my post here: I Met a Hero.
