Having a toddler around means that I don’t get to spend enough quality one on one special time with my eldest Ky. So when we do get the chance we take full advantage. We were recently invited to Birmingham to meet the big yellow man himself, ‘The Honey Monster’. Yes, it very much was like re-visiting my child hood.
Ky was so excited we were out together, first class was £3 more so it meant that when we were having train delays we were able to have a cuddle, a tasty warm drink and some yummy biscuits. Then we ventured onto train. *just let me take a selfie*
We talked, held hands and cuddles all the way to New Street Station. It was so nice to have lovely conversations with my big boy although the guy that was sitting besides us didn’t agree, he literally had his fingers in his ears lol.
Upon arriving at the Bullring where the Honey monster was placed we were told the big man was on a break so we took a little walk around the shopping centre. This resulted in meeting Mario and Link, and nice little bonus for Ky and meant he had a cool face mask to bring home for his little brother and also purchasing 3 on sale Funko Pop’s to add to our collection.
The reason Honey Monster is making his appearances is due to the New ‘Honey Monster Puffs’ which are delicious whole grains of steam puffed wheat, drizzled in yummy honey, but with less overall sugar due to the 20% extra honey to the previous recipe for a Monsterfied Breakfast so along with being able to meet him we picked up some samples to try at home.
Because Honey is aiming to be more active he was in his sports gear when we finally met up with him. Ky thought it was so cool telling me how that was the monster from the cereals, although then proceeded to explain to everyone how he didn’t like honey. Aren’t children just so amazing for timing, especially when he actually really does like honey and I have even been trying to use honey more as an alternative to sugar when I can. Thanks kid! lol.
To finish off our lovely meet Ky gave Honey monster his over Monsterfied love with a high 10. Good times. As anxtra gesture Ky was given a V.I.P goody bag, the perks of being a bloggers child! With the coolest Honey Monster teddy I am so jealous of. When we got on the train home he was showing every poor victim that came near him and telling them all about his awesome day. It made me so happy to see how happy he was, days like this mean a lot to my little man.
It was such a lovely day with my biggest boy, a well needed natter and some special bonding time that was shared. Ky now has his teddy to remind him of our day that he has started to put in his bed at night. All in all it was a very enjoyable day so if you are able to and he will be arriving anywhere near you, you should definitely go and give him a high five and take some yummy samples away.
