Yesterday in my internet searches I came across Susannah Conway of whom has made a free course of ‘Unravelling the year ahead‘.
I have just completed mine other than my 5 year plan and I can honestly say it was so interesting to see what I was coming up with. What my favourite day of the year was, which memories made me happy and what or who from 2015 do I want for forgive and why. It was like writing out your mind for last year to give yourself a free mind and wave goodbye to 2015 and then open up a whole whopping new positive outlook for 2016.
In the bookley Susannah explains how magical she finds writing things down and warns it will change your life. I printed out the pages and began answering the questions, they were so hard to begin with but as my pen hit the paper my word became freeflowing. I started understanding more what I want from this new year and also what I have learnt and can take from the whopper that was 2015.
Susannah explains how she loves the new year because it holds so much possibility. A new 365(6) book that can be filled. They’ll always be the responsibilities and routines of our everyday but that doesn’t mean we have to keep doing things the very same old way. Whether you wish to bring in big changes or just a bit of fine-tuning it’s all to play for in 2016.
I was asked to choose a word that will guide me through this new year and the next 12 months. A word that makes me feel expanded, encouraged and inspired.
The word I have chosen for this year is:
I really feel this is fitting for my goals for this year. I was also asked to choose four more words that supported this word, I decided on Hippie, Gym, Space and Blog Success all in which I need to progress to have a better life and be a better person.
I was questioned on what I could do this year to bring more of my word (progress) into my word:
I am going to set more timers and alarms, Plan for my day ahead the night before and get an earlier night to rise earlier in the morning. I no longer want to buy things just because they are cheap but because we really need it or love it and in bringing it into my home I will then rehome something else to make space. When thinking about blog posts I would like to write I am going to start listening my ideas and to-do’s into my blog journal again and use timers and blockers along with motivation to keep my concentration and not procrastinate so much. I would also like to do more holistic things and meditate more adding more calm and less stress into my life via my diffusers, reading more books and enjoying nature more.
It also asked if I lived and breathed my word everyday in 2016 what would be different for me:
I answered that my house would be tidy and decluttered. My boys will be happy and in a routine along with spending more time outside have good ol’ none technology old school fun. I will be more organised with my white boards around our home and my filofax in my handbag. I will be a healthy and hydrated 9stone eating food that my body appreicates and drinking the recommended amount of water a day. I also hope to be doing daily meditation or calm time and be on less medication.
What is your word for 2016?
