This weekend The ANA family were invited to visit Drayton Manor’s Thomas Land. Living in Coventry and Drayton Manor only being in Tamworth it’s only a short drive to visit and yet it’s somewhere we never think about so it was great to add it to our tick list of adventures and test out the joint to see if it can cope with our attendance. To be quite frank it was awesome, and not only that J got to have a go on his first rollercoaster, which for a small children’s rollercoaster was quite thrilling and we had a fantastic photo keepsake to take home after (These cost £8 and you get a link for as many downloads as you want). I was planning on doing a write up on Drayton’s manor blog of our VIP day but in true ANA Family style we were an hour late to the procedings so didn’t get our 1hour public free time to try out the rides. However luckily one of my old school friends and another local blogger has given me a quote so I can inform you all of it. I am hoping we can both be chosen as amabasssadors as we can have LOADS of family days out together and tell you all about them. Mainly how I misbehave and be cheeky whilst Carly tells me off like I am a small child haha.
It was fantastic having an hour with such small queues for the rides meaning that before our day had even been eaten into much our children were so excited and full of adrenaline. It really started our day well – Carly Markham (Mummy and the Chunks)
Now the exciting bit for you fantastical anacorns. Here is the youtube video of our day:
Such an amazing memory making day out, it was fantastic to be a theme park where J whom is 4 could go on everything with us that he wanted to and that created such a fantastic atmosphere for the day. I think the height starts from 1m and the minis are set to go.
Cons.
Seriously, take a picnic and LOTS of change, their are loads of those of carnival games with teddies that aren’t available to buy in the shop there, I seen many a parent trying to ‘win’ for their child and so many upset children that couldn’t get the teddy they wanted. Me included, with my oh so fluffy unicorn that I couldn’t win only to be smiled at ahhh no worries another go!? Whilst I literally had no more money in my pockets. Do not make this mistake or your child will be dissappointed.
The five of us were offered press tickets as part of the blogger ambassador test day. A fantastic day is to be had there, and the zoo is awesomes!
