And we have hit our first major milestone, for today marks 1/4 of the way through my #100daysofme! Yay! Wahoo, Lets do this!
So today I rolled out of bed, got the boys ready, I didn’t put any make up on which was lovely and I have been rubbing my eyes all day with glee! Having been sorting my clothes and catching up on my washing has meant that getting out of bed and actually grabbing an outfit that looks the business has been much easier. This and the fact that my pant drawer is full makes me so happy!
The boys were quite nice to each other this morning with ky even helping J to get himself sorted so we could do the walk to school. They were both on time even with a little trip to the shops so J could have a drink and a yoghurt in his lunchbox for nursery. I did however realise I hadn’t brought J’s nursery bag with us when we arrived there, it’s a good job he’s a big lad now and it’s rare he needs a change of clothes unless they have the water guns out in outdoor play and then he will really go for it!
I walked to the nursery with my friend Helen who’s little boy attends the same nursery and as J sat down to watch Mickey mouse my friends little boy pulled up a chair and sat next to him it was all the cuteness!
We parted ways after having a quick nose around my charity shop as I was volunteering today, I ended up leaving just slightly earlier than usual though as my dad walked into the shop yay! He is off work at the moment because he is healing from his cataract operation. It took me a few moments to realise who he was as he has worn glasses my whole life!
We went for a lovely lovely carvery at a local toby carvery near us, of course I did the driving whilst he moaned about my driving, you gotta love dads lol! He refused to let me pay for it and treated me. I’ll be getting the next one though! I drove him to do an errand he needed to do and then we went back to my parents house whilst he did his eye drops and had a sit down and I borrowed my mamabears slowest laptop in the world to do some emails.
Dad had said he would like to pick my boys up with me from school as he had never done so before so I dropped my car off home and we walked to my eldest school, it turns out we walked around the block twice because we were so early lol. The boys were so so happy to see him when they came out of school and as his home is closer to J’s nursery he decided to walk from their much to J’s dismay. He asked me all the way home why his grandad had gone a different way, i swear he was watching for him to come back to him. so lovely.
When we got back home I was on the phone to my mum about something exciting I am working on when J came storming through shouting there was an ice cream van in the street. I did what any mother would do and said my goodbyes to my mum as I ran to get my boys an ice-cream it always amazes me how much mess an ice-cream makes for a child but the joy of watching their joy filled my heart.
It was sausage and chips for dinner, and after that was scrambled there was time for a little play on the iPad for ky in bed and J and I snuggled and watching Toy story. Eventually when he refused to go to sleep after toy story had finished I went and sat in my bed with him, it wasn’t long before I was transferring him into his own bed.
Now it is 11.45pm I had intended on having a productive night and instead have had a night of internet surfing and procrastination.
Life is about appreciating the Humans in our Lives,
