It’s Day 4, and today I want to share with you a trick that literally turns my life around. It can take me from a terrible and unproductive negative cloud, to an all singing and dancing rainbow and this secret is:
‘The Miracle of the 15 minute!’
Have you ever felt so groggy you can’t get yourself to get up and move about? Or have an un-fun job that’s so daunting even the prospect of starting it makes you feel sick? Even better, have you had a calm day in your pyjamas and now you’re so relaxed you aren’t being productive at all and you have things to do then starting with a 15 minute timer is the solution.
Sometimes when my depression hits I will literally set a timer for 15 minutes just to get my ass up, washed and dressed. The difference when you are clothed is awesome, especially if you have shoes too, then you really are up for being a warrior of the day!
Or if I am looking at a mound of washing up and keep walking past it wishing I had a spoon to stir my coffee, then I will set a 15 minute timer and attack that job for 15 minutes.
15 minutes doesn’t sound like a lot but you would be surprised with how much you can actually do within that time.
